The five-storey Bergeron Centre for Engineering Excellence is slated to open this fall

In York University’s cloud-inspired Lassonde School of Engineering by ZAS Architects + Interiors, the silver lining is made of glass. Currently under construction near Keele and Steeles, the faculty’s new home sparkles with 15,700 square metres of flexible, open-concept workshops, classrooms and labs. Spanning five floors and perched atop a halo-like glazed base, the crowning feature is a rippling, undulating form signalling to passersby: the next generation of innovators is on campus.
