Started in 2023, Modulo Shop works with international and local artists – big or small – to share collectable designer furniture with Toronto. Using sustainable handmade processes, its designers create high-quality wares that stand the test of time. Proving that handcrafted furniture can be made without sacrificing longevity.

Focusing on unique material exploration, Modulo Shop features designs that take inspiration from the textures and body of particular materials – from various metals and natural woods to recycled materials. Each piece translates these unique materials into expressive forms and lines, creating pieces that are both distinctive and timeless.

Its Carlaw Gallery opened in January as a new space to feature its international designers and Toronto artists. The gallery offers interesting and immersive experiences where guests can discover the stories and creative processes behind each piece. Modulo Shop also invites guests to the gallery when they receive a new collection. These exhibition events are a great way to find new pieces and to meet Modulo’s community of designers.

Modulo Shop hosted their second exhibition titled “Automobilia”, where the gallery space was transformed into an autobody shop. This show exhibited the new wares from its designers in a high-concept and playful experience. Creating an atmosphere where guests can engage with both the new collection and artist.

Visit the new Carlaw gallery for the expressive forms of Modulo Shop’s rotating collection. These unique wares highlight the innovation found in designer furniture. From brushed stainless-steel chairs and bold textiles to classic vintage finds, the gallery has the right pieces to inspire any space.
